My mom has recently had surgery and they put her on insulin shots to control blood sugars. Since then her appetite has increased and she is gaining weight. She was already overweight. Is the insulin causing the weight gain? Her activity level is about the same.

I take Wellbutrin I lose weight. I take Seroquel I gain weight. Do they affect metabolism or is it something else? I just don’t understand how a pill can affect body weight. Thanks for responding.

For situational depression and panic attacks, I have been on a variety of medications. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any antidepressants that did not cause weight gain? Thank you.

When we gain weight, do our bodies automatically distribute the fat, e.g. 50% on one leg and 50% on the other? If so, how does the body know to do this?
