Anybody Have Any Serious Tips For Weight Gain?

I am at the worst age, apparently, either to lose or gain weight – 59. But as I am 1 and a half stone underweight I need to take drastic action. The Docs have ruled anything “nasty” out and I cannot take that milky stuff, it makes me feel sick. So if anyone has any tips or knows of any websites that can help I would be very grateful. And I also hate Stout….. Thanks all.

    i am sooo jealous – pasta, meat, anything sugary and fatty, bread, crisps, lager, biccies, ale, chocolate. Basically anything that’s fun!!
    p.s I hate the white stuff too!!

    well for me its eat salad, go to gym 3 times a week, dont eat junk food and drink plenty of water!!!!!
    maybe i should eat rubbish! lol!

    Eat lots of stuff thats high in protien and carbs and you’ll be on wat to gaining weight! And increase the amount you eat!

    first if all stop taking tension about weight loss or gain otherwise it will loss more weight. take 4-5 banana n 500ml milk daily in breakfast for 1 month.Search Alfa-alfa homeopathic tonic take it 2times a day. U will surely get result by this.it is my personal experience.

    try to squeeze extra calories into your day- sugary drinks, an extra slice of meat on a sandwich, exc.

    make it a good weight gain. by that i mean do not eat junk food in order to gain the weight. eat protein, this includes meat, nuts, peanut butter, etc. but everything in moderation. possibly think about doing muscle building exercise too.

    first, you have to sleep early and get at least 8 hours. eat a lot of steak. eat it during lunch. too much is not good too. drink centrum vitamins. drink milk and eat heavy breakfast. and eat a complete dinner. do not tire yourself.

    you can get on the net but all they want you to do is buy thier books. my best advice would be to go to a a vitamin store like the gnc place and ask them what they would recommend or if they have in books in stock that could help you. i am trying to gain weight as well. i have stocked up on ensure myself. unfortunately you said you couldn’t handle it and i honestly can’t say that it works just yet. i hope you find something that works and hey if you do would you let me know.

    I once put on weight by eating bananas. Quite a few each day as well as all other meals, and eat lots of carbs.

    My friend has chromes disease and his doctor tells him exactly what to eat. He has a lot of ice cream milkshakes and when he can use cream instead of milk. You should also look into this protein shake called isolate it doesn’t taste horrible. But remember muscle weighs more than fat, so try a little work out while gaining weight.

    Seriously, if you smoke stop! Smoking increases the amount of calcium you loose. Otherwise dont panic, dont try daft diets, just eat a good balanced diet with lots of protien and carbs lots of vitamins- try calcium soluble from your pharmacy its fruit flavoured. Gentle excercise, dont go nuts, walking the dog if you have one if not just walk instead of taking the car – try swimming, if you cant swim learn there are lessons for people who arent 21 and your local gym wont just be full of slim nubile 18 year olds either so no need to be embarrased its your life your body and you have as much right to look after it as anyone after all its the only you will have. At the menapause and after you loose muscle tone and muscle weighs more than fat, build up the muscle and be a proud mature beautiful feminine woman. You know more than most people will ever know love yourself!!!!

    Vitamin B Complex and drink malteds and milk shakes.
    Also ask your doctor for B12 shots and liver shots, they also help. My mom had your problem years ago and that’s what the doc did.

    If you are a woman someone I know was advised to go on the contraception injection because it tends to make you put on weight.

    You actually need to exercise & build up your muscles then you will add that to your weight. You can’t eat to gain weight you’ll only gain fat & not muscle mass. Get some weights & get to it.
