Your Ultimate Guide to Gaining Weight

What Anti-depressent/anxiety Medication Does Not Cause Weight Gain?

My psychiatrist wants me to go on meds for depression/social anxiety. I struggle with my weight though and really don’t want a medication that will cause weight gain. Ideas?!

It is different for everyone. I have been on the lowest dose of Paxil since I was 12 and have only gained what I am supposed to.

As they say, it differs from person to person. My Wellbutrin SR has actually killed my appetite a little, which is unsettling.. (I’m already skinny..)
Try out different meds. If you see weight gain, tell your psychiatrist and get switched off. They’re very open to changing meds that you’re not happy with. Then lose the few extra pounds and continue on. Hey, some meds even cause weight loss.

It’s different for everyone. I haven’t gained weight while on prozac, I’ve maybe even lost a few pounds, but that doesn’t mean you’ll lose weight while taking it.
