Keep her on all the hay she can eat.  I&#039;d feed 75% grass/25% alfalfa if I could find it.  I&#039;m not a fan of sr. feed.  I&#039;d feed a 12% protein feed my mill makes but the sr. is just fine if that&#039;s what you can get and if you and the horse like it. 
You can add up to a cup of corn oil but I&#039;d probably add up to a cup of black oil sunflower seed myself.
Then I&#039;d start with about a pint of beet pulp soaked for 15 minutes or so in a couple pints of warm water.  Some believe that the beet pulp should be soaked for hours but, as per my equine vet, that&#039;s not necessary.  IF your horse likes it, and about 1/3 of mine don&#039;t, then slowly up it to as much as 5 gallons.  You probably won&#039;t need to feed nearly that much.  Most horses will gain just fine with free choice hay, a pound or two of oats and a bit of BOSS (black oil sunflower seed)</description>
