Your Ultimate Guide to Gaining Weight

Does Switching To A Higher Dosage Of Birth Control Cause Weight Gain?

I am switching from ortho tricyclen lo to trinessa because it is cheaper. Will trinessa make me gain more weight? I noticed that the amount of norgestimate in the two are the same but there is .01mg more of ethinyl estradiol in the trinessa. Could that cause weight gain?

It could do, but, not as much as being pregnant. Stop worrying.

yes, it does affect your appetite and your water retention, so your weight. check with your doc what the side effects are.

It’s possible, but it probably won’t make you gain weight. If you do gain weight, it will probably just be 5 lbs. or something like that.

I found the higher the hormone level (the estrogen level) the more water retention you get
