Your Ultimate Guide to Gaining Weight

Citalopram And Weight Gain, When Does It Start?

I only take 10 mg of citalopram, it’s a low dose but helps me a great deal. I have been on it for about 5 months. This past month, I want to eat everything. I have a sweet tooth that i never had before. I am eating an extra 2 meals a day, I am so hungry. I told my doctor and he said that weight gain would have happened earlier when I started the medication, so it is unlikely that it is the meds. Friends told me they started gaining weight aroud 5 months too. Has anyone experienced this, is my doctor just wrong?

I must admit i have been on the lose dosage of citalopram and it did make me have more of an apetite and usually i don’t have one, i found myself eating about 3 bars of chocolate instead of one, i didn’t gain any weight but i found myself being more hungry than usual.I hope this helps.
