All you have to do is eat 100 calories more a day than you expend. If you do that, you will gain ten pounds a year, every year.
    3500 calories = 1 pound of weight.
    100 extra calories/day x 365 days a year equals 36,500 calories, which equals a little over 10 pounds.
100 more calories a day can be accomplished by drinking one of those little cans of Coke.
I don’t know how underweight you are, but since you don’t sound anorexic, I’m going to say something.
Honestly, do you really need to gain weight? There’s a danger of becoming overweight, and being overweight leads to so many truly awful health problems.
I know people who are blind, have had heart attacks, and are on renal dialysis by the age of 52 because of type 2 diabetes,. I mean they have ALL THREE of those conditions and are gunning to have strokes. By age 52.
Think really carefully about this 2800 calorie a day diet, and be thankful you are underweight. Talk to your doctor about a good weight-gain diet for you.

A total of 1200 calories for the three meals and any snacks consumed in a single day, if you are male: and a total of 1400 calories, if you are female.
